Especially so in SMEs where your business is small or new or in the process of growing. People do business because of who you are as your business is not well known. If they trust you, they will buy from you regardless of what is your business brand. If they don’t trust you, they will just go to another business owner that they can trust more. The only time customers think your business brand is more important is when they know a lot about your business brand eg if you are the GM of Microsoft or MacDonald, then it doesn’t matter if they do not know you as a person, the brand itself is good.
